Int’l Fajrfest to host famous German production designer

German production designer Silke Buhr has planned to hold a workshop at the 37th Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

Buher was the production designer of the 2006 Oscar-Winning ‘The Lives of Other’ and ‘Never Look Away’ by Donnersmarck. The latter was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2019.

She is famous for her cooperation with well-known German director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck.

The aim of holding workshops is to transfer the experience of great international cineastes to others.

So far, the presence of Buher and Italian cinematographer Luca Bigazzi has been finalized. The name of other international cineastes who will attend the event and the workshops' schedule will be announced later.

The 37th edition of FIFF is slated for April 18-26, 2019, in Tehran.
